| We are the Alabama Athletic Organizing Committee (501c3 organization). The purpose of the AAOC is to promote the sport of Weightlifting in Alabama. Our efforts are three fold: increase awareness of the sport, educate athletes and coaches about proper technique and training methods, and increase participation in the sport. To date our efforts have been focused on increased awareness by hosting the 2006 and 2007 American Open Championships in Birmingham. |
